Will our marriage be valid in my country?
Yes, your marriage in the Bahamas is legal and accepted/recognized in all other countries.
How far in advance do we need to be in Nassau, before we can get married?
You need to be in Nassau at least 24 hours before applying for your Marriage Licence. If your wedding is to take place on Friday, Saturday or Sunday you must arrive in Nassau no later than Thursday.
Will you help us with obtaining our Marriage Licence?
Yes, a wedding consultant from "Weddings in the Bahamas" will pick you up from your hotel and assist you with obtaining your marriage license.
Is the fee for our marriage licence included in your wedding packages?
Yes, your marriage licence fee and affidavits are covered in the wedding packages.
Is a blood test required for obtaining our license?
No, a Blood test is not required.
What will happen if it is raining on our wedding day and we have picked an outside location for our ceremony and/or reception?
There is always a back-up location if the weather does not cooperate with our outdoors plans.
How can we pick our flowers for our wedding if we are not able to come to Nassau before our wedding?
In our wedding packages you can select your color scheme and whether you prefer a cascading bouquet or a bouquet hand-tied with ribbon. The florist we use is excellent and the bouquets are beautiful but should you have a particular bouquet in mind and have a picture please feel free to send it to us.
Do you have tuxedo rentals in Nassau, or should we bring them with us from home?
We do have tuxedo rentals in Nassau providing you are on the island a few days prior to your wedding.
Who will perform our wedding, do we have a choice?
Yes, you can have either have a Minister, Marriage Registrar or Rabbi perform your wedding.
Can we customize our ceremony with special reading and or/music?
We want your wedding to be exactly the way you dreamed it would be so we will be happy to customize your wedding to meet your wishes.
Do you arrange for a rehearsal before the wedding?
Rehearsals are not always necessary, however a rehearsal can be arranged as per your request at an additional charge.
Would you be able to help us coordinate our reception?
Yes, we can assist you with coordinating every detail of your reception.
Can we have the photographer and videographer for longer time than is stated in your wedding packages?
Yes, you can have both the photographer and videographer for as many additional hours as you desire.
Will my wedding consultant be present at my wedding?
We believe in perfection and will be present at your wedding to ensure that every detail is carried through smoothly and as planned. Thus, leaving you with no thing to worry about, except to enjoy every moment of your Special Day!
